Eggfood Deluxe: 14.2% PROTEIN

A ready-to-use loose egg food with many extras!!!!!

Intro:

Many factors influence the breeding period and the production of eggs. We therefore give our birds a soft food with the necessary ingredients in it during the breeding season.

I will explain below why I have added certain ingredients to my egg food. and especially the importance of fiber!

I have put together this mix to create a well-balanced egg food that consists of many different ingredients. It is also important that the protein value does not become too high. People often give extra peas and animal proteins from, for example, Pinkys to egg food. This is of course fine provided you halve the amount of egg food. A protein value between 14 and 27% is fine.

  • Calcium carbonate: This is needed for the eggshell of the eggs.
  • Vitamin D: this vitamin is necessary for the absorption of calcium, birds that do not sit outside need this vitamin extra because the birds inside cannot consume this vitamin themselves.
  • Vitamin A: Improves embryo survival.
  • Vitamin E: improves fertility
  • Selenium: to prevent egg distress
  • cellulose: stimulates the development of the intestines
  • Inulin: Made from chicory root, it is a soluble dietary fiber that supports healthy digestion. This fiber tastes nice and sweet which is therefore well eaten.
  • Beepollen: superfood for birds. contains vitaminsA-B-C-D-E-K. The pollen pollen is rich in minerals- calcium, potassium, sulfur, silicone, zinc, magnesium, iron, copper, iodine. It increases vitality, promotes fertility, strengthens the immune system, promotes digestion and gives the birds more energy
  • Prebiotics: are soluble dietary fibers of plant origin. (inulin, beta-glucans, fructooligosaccharides, pectin) it is a source of food for the good bacteria in the intestines, but the fibers also absorb moisture in the intestines and thus prevent diarrhoea. This is therefore very important, especially in young birds, to prevent nest death. It prevents wet nests.

Intestinal disorders are the main reason for nest death!! 50% of this consists of infections, but the other 50% is the lack of dietary fiber!!

  • Probiotics: live microorganisms that promote the health of the birds. It inhibits unwanted bacteria such as E.coli, prevents diarrhea caused by rotaviruses and salmonella, promotes the immune system and reduces the effects of fungi.
  • Amino acids: These different nutrients are the building blocks for the formation of proteins. The body cannot produce a proportion of these amino acids itself, we call these essential amino acids, especially lysine and methionine are essential. A deficiency of methionine causes small nests, a shortage of lysine, delayed growth in the young and poor resistance.

Extra protein: proteins are necessary for building the body. Proteins from chicken eggs contain all essential amino acids in sufficient quantities. So why add extra protein?

The high percentage of fats in chicken eggs increase the risk of intestinal complaints, the extra proteins I have added are low in fat, and therefore easy to digest. They also provide the full amino acid profile for perfect growth of the young.

Added proteins of plant and animal origin:

  • Rice powder: consists of 80% protein and is easily digestible.
  • Hemp powder: 50% protein, is defatted and contains all essential amino acids. Hemp is incredibly nutritious.
  • Pumpkin seed powder: defatted powder which consists of 65% protein. Rich in fiber, vitamins and trace elements such as selenium.
  • Sunflower Seed Powder: defatted powder of 46% protein. is rich in methionine, which is the main amino acid for the production of eggs.
  • Spelt flour: consists of 15% protein, contains more fiber and richer in nutrients than regular wheat.
  • Corn flour: consists of 9% protein, gives the boy energy boost
  • Buckwheat flour: contains 13% protein, consists of various amino acids. It also contains vitamin B and various minerals.
  • Pea powder: 50% protein, super healthy protein for the birds!!
  • Chickpeas: contain a lot of protein (21%), fiber and minerals. Thanks to the fibers, they stimulate the young birds' digestion. also contains vitamin E
  • Flaxseed yellow protein powder: consists of 33% protein, source of omega 3, contains several B vitamins, and very rich in minerals, and easily digestible dietary fiber.
  • Milk thistle seed powder: thistle seeds, the food for the goldfinch, for example. contains silymarin which neutralizes toxins. It also has a positive effect on the liver and digestion. especially with fatty liver disease, which often occurs during and after the breeding season due to a diet with too much egg food. (that's why I always recommend 1 part egg food and 3 parts germination seed!!)
  • Silkworm: Flour from dried silkworm pupae is a high-quality natural food source, rich in high-quality protein (51%). and is low in fats. also contains good calcium value
  • Ant eggs: contains a high proportion of animal protein
  • Chicken egg: protein value of 13%, contains all essential amino acids
  • Brewer's yeast: food source for good bacteria (probiotics). Contains many vitamins of the B group and minerals. Selenium promotes fertility. The vitamin B group improves the chance of embryo transmission. Helps bitches digestion of young birds. Promotes growth of young birds. And promotes the moulting period
  • Quinoa flour: Rich in amino acids, proteins (14%) and vitamins
  • almonds: rich in fiber, protein (21%) vitamins and minerals
  • Lupin flour: lupin flour has a protein content of no less than 43% and contains a lot of fiber which is easily digestible
  • Sorghumeel: Sorghumeel is not only rich in protein (9%), but it is also high in vitamins, minerals and fiber.
